The missions of the Center are listed as follows:
a) To increase the efficiency of enterprises working on natural stone by taking into account the environmental protection awareness, to develop new technologies, to make researches in areas that directly or indirectly affect the sector such as post-mining environmental regulations,
b) Establishing a natural stone laboratory and providing testing and analysis services to the sector
c) To encourage the training of academic staff and students of the University in the field of natural stones,
d) To cooperate and exchange information with similar organizations and centers in Turkey and abroad,
e) To follow all kinds of innovations and developments in the field of natural stone, to organize training programs, seminars, courses and conferences related to these innovations, to issue certificates and publications when necessary,
f) to conduct education and training programs, to invite people from Turkey and abroad to give seminars and conferences,
g) To provide documentation services for the sector by conducting archival studies in the field of natural stones, and to make publications in related field.
